This is our Picnic Time Insulated Cooler Picnic Tote Review.  The Picnic Time Insulated Cooler Picnic Tote is designed to be the perfect solution for those picnic, beach, or concert outings where you not only need insulated storage for your perishable items but also several other items as was as additional storage compartments.  This product comes with everything you would need for your picnic including a cutting board, cheese knife, corkscrew, plates, tumblers, napkins, and silverware. 

For cooling assistance, there are insulated areas for storing both your wine as well as your conventional foods.  Several external pockets, both zippered as well as using Velcro, gives ample room for your other items.  Carrying is accomplished via either a shoulder strap or overhead handle.  This product is made of strong fabric, plastic, and metal, stores approximately 23 quarts of total volume, and comes in a few color schemes.

Insulation Ability –

The cooling ability of this tote is nothing amazing but will suffice for keeping your wine and/or food cold up until lunchtime.  The combination of insulation plus a decent seal means that you can expect to have around 4 hours of consistent cooling time before you might have an issue.  Since only areas of the product are insulated and intended for cooling and 2 of them are directly intended for bottles, you might struggle to find adequate room to store all of your foods, though.

Mobility and Durability –

The build quality of this product is pretty nice.  Everything should stay together relatively well.  And the features it has are simply awesome: silverware, napkins, bottle opener, plates, individualized compartments, etc. make it shine.  It is also easy to carry since there are two carrying options, which means you can transport it even if you don’t have an actual hand available.  It is relatively heavy for the size, however. 

Speaking of size, we feel that it is simply too small and you may run into space issues while using it.  Since a significant portion of the storage volume is already being used by the included items, and the tote isn’t overly large to begin with, you may be left struggling to fit everything.  This is especially true for your chilled items since you are limited to a small area for these.

Visual Appeal – 

This is a very attractive product and all of the various components come together nicely.  They do a good job of squeezing all of the “stuff” in without making it too cluttered.  The color schemes are varied yet subtle enough to still look presentable and professional.

Cost – 

This tote is typically found in the premium tier price range online.

Overall Rating – 

The Picnic Time Insulated Cooler Picnic Tote Review earns 2.5 out of 5 stars.  The cooling ability of this product is only average, and we feel there will be scenarios where you will struggle to store everything that you need to stay cold.  The inclusion of everything you would need for a typical picnic is a unique feature and this helps to justify the high price. 

If you are strictly looking for an all-in-one package this will suffice but if you are just looking for a convenient tote to store and transport chilled items there will be better options, especially for the cost. There is a nice range of sizes and for short periods, this cooler will suffice.  However, for marine-oriented products, we expect a much longer ice life and it would also be nice to be a bit more durable and have better seals since typically these coolers will be thrown around quite a bit.  The price, while not super high, is at a level where would expect a bit more.
