Sacko Dual Compartment Insulated Lunch Bag Review

Last Updated by Brandon F. on July 22, 2020

This is our Sacko Dual Compartment Insulated Lunch Bag Review.  The Sacko Dual Compartment Insulated Lunch Bag is optimized to fit all of your items for a picnic or lunch while being able to isolate the chilled items from the non-chilled and also provide additional protection to the potentially fragile or more lightweight items you might have.  This is accomplished by having a smaller individualized zipper compartment directly above the primary zippered compartment.

Also, there are both front and side pockets that, while not insulated, provide a great spot to stick your non-chilled items for storage.  For carrying there is both a padded conventional carrying handle as well as a large adjustable shoulder strap.  This product is available in 3 different colors, store approximately 8 quarts of volume, and is made of polyester, nylon, plastic, and metal.

Insulation Ability – 4 star

The cooling performance of this lunch bag is very good.  The insulation is thick enough to maximize cool life and make it more than adequate for your typical lunch or picnic requirements.  We especially like how the cooled compartment is separate from the non-cooled so that you can help ensure that all of your perishable items will fit in the given volume.

This is important because this isn’t an overly large bag.  The other benefit of this is that you can access these items without opening the insulated portion, which helps to further maximize the cooling performance.

Mobility and Durability – 4 star

This bag is quite mobile and it relatively lightweight despite its multiple features and storage areas.  Also, the fact that is has multiple ways to carry it (handle and shoulder strap) means that no matter what else you are carrying you shouldn’t have an issue moving this as well.   The big selling point here is the individualized compartments that we expanded on above.  This is a great feature and we wish more lunch bags would incorporate it.

Even beyond these two areas, there are additional non-closed storage areas attached to the external walls of the bag.  The construction is adequate for the most part.  The material, while a bit flimsy, should hold up for quite some time barring some high impact drops or aggressive scrapes against abrasive surfaces.

Visual Appeal – 3.5 star

There are three unique color options that we like.  For a given color choice there is a variety of altering fabric patterns as well as nice black accents which produce a nice color dynamic that emits quality.  Overall it can incorporate the multiple storage compartments without making it look cheesy or forced.

Cost – 2.5 star

This lunch bag can be found in the intermediate price tier online.

Overall Rating – 3.5 star

The Sacko Dual Compartment Insulated Lunch Bag Review earns 3.5 out of 5 coolers.  An all-around good offering by Sacko, this lunch bag can implement their individualized compartment feature without giving up on acceptable cooling ability or build quality.  There are cheaper choices out there but for what this bag offers, we feel it is worth the asking price.
