This is our Thermos Raya Lunch Tote Review. The Thermos Raya Lunch Tote is a simple solution for someone who needs to be able to easily pack and carry a lunch or small picnic’s worth of items to the final destination would keeping them cool. This is accomplished by using IsoTec layered insulation on the walls of the tote and heat-sealed PEVA lining to help resist leaks.
A large carrying handle that velcros together makes mobility a breeze. This product will hold around 17 quarts of total volume, comes in a variety of colors and patterns, and is primarily made of fabric and plastic.
Insulation Ability –
The cooling performance of this tote is better than most on the market and should do an adequate job of keeping your items cool even if you fill it up completely. Also, any ice or ice packs that you put inside should stay inside as it is quite leak-proof so you don’t have to worry about water getting everywhere. There is ample storage inside and you should have no problem storing all of the food and drinks you would need for a large picnic or outing for a group.
Mobility and Durability –
The carrying handle is very large and straps together, making carrying this quite simple. However, the bag is quite large and potentially too large (if that is even a thing for a tote). When full it can not only be quite bulky but also somewhat heavy. Thankfully the construction is good enough to hold all of the potential weight without tearing or breaking.
The fabric used is relatively strong and with the inclusion of the insulation and liner, it is firm enough to hold form well enough. Our only minor complaint is that there aren’t any external pockets or other features so if you are wanting to carry something and not put it in with the rest of the chilled items you are out of luck.
Visual Appeal –
The tote design itself is very plain. There are not a lot of features or varying fabric patterns. Essentially it is a rather large bag with handles. The one saving grace is the variety of shapes and colors that are available which is welcome.
Cost –
This tote is typically found online in the budget price tier. This puts it at a great price compared to similar products out there.
Overall Rating –
The Thermos Raya Lunch Tote Review earns 3.5 out of 5 coolers. This is a great-performing cooling product and should be more than large for most people’s needs. Also, the price is more than fair for what you are getting. We do wish that there were some extra pockets to store non-chilled items and that there were some more aesthetic features or a more entertaining fabric layout but overall it is still a nice buy.
