Yens Fantasybag Lunch Bag Review

Last Updated by Brandon F. on July 28, 2020

This is our Yens Fantasybag Lunch Bag Review.  The Yens Fantasybag Lunch Bag is intended for those who need a simple and cost-effective bag for their lunch or small picnic outing.  It has an insulated internal compartment that is accessed via an easy-to-use Velcro closure.  Also, there is an additional front Velcro pocket for the items you want to carry that don’t have to be kept cold.  Transportation is accomplished via a webbed carry handle.  To help with stability and rigidity the base of this product is reinforced with thicker material.  It comes in a large selection of colors, is made of plastic, and stores approximately 5 quarts.

Insulation Ability – 2.5 star

The cooling ability is more or less “adequate”.  In other words, it will last long enough to make it to lunch but beyond that, you will need something more robust.  While the compartment is insulated, it is thin insulation, and the fact that it is so small means that the stored cool air easily escapes.  Thankfully the Velcro closure is surprisingly effective which helps to make what would be a very short cool life become a bit longer.

Mobility and Durability – 2.5 star

This lunch bag is quite small and as such is very mobile.  The carry handle is more than effective for transportation.  The storage size is limited, however, and if you plan on storing more than a couple of Tupperware containers or a can or two of soda you will be in for a rude awakening, especially if you hope to try to stick an ice pack inside.  There is the additional external storage for non-perishable items but it is equally small.  The build quality is alright considering this is a budget offering, but don’t expect it to last for years.  The lining is prone to break over time.  The Velcro closure, however, is quite well-made and can last a while.

Visual Appeal – 2 star

Overall this is a rather straightforward looking lunch bag with few external features or aesthetic accents.  There are a variety of colors to choose from, however.

Cost – 5 star

The online price for this bag puts it well into the budget range.

Overall Rating – 3 star

The Yens Fantasybag Lunch Bag Review earns 3 out of 5 coolers.  The biggest selling point of this product is the price, which is very affordable.  While its other attributes are nothing amazing they are good enough to justify a purchase if you are just looking for a small, lightweight, and most importantly very cheap bag to carry your items in.
